Welcome to Raasch Family Farms
Our Farming Operation
Raasch Family Farms predominantly raises corn, soybeans, and straw. Their headquarters are in Liberty, Missouri where they have a full line of modern equipment and
grain handling facilities.
In addition to farming row crops they also have a commercial fertilizer/lime application
business, own a Reinke Pivot business (River Valley Irrigation), and 2 Agri-Tourism
businesses (The Liberty Corn Maze and Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch).
Meet Our Family
Raasch Family Farms is a third-generation, family-owned operation led by Buddy Raasch III. Raasch Brothers Farms and RF Grain represent the fourth generation of this farming legacy, proudly owned and operated by Errie Raasch IV, Bernie Raasch, Dane and Lillie (Raasch) Fitzpatrick, and Charlie Raasch.
All were raised in a farming family and understand that farming isn’t just a job—it’s a way of life. Their father, Buddy Raasch, continues to lend a hand on the farm, bringing over 40 years of experience to the operation. Their mother also plays a vital role, helping drive the farm’s daily operations

Buddy and Carolyn Raasch stand at the helm of a remarkable 3rd generation family farming legacy in Liberty, Missouri, a tradition that began in 1926. With deep roots in the land, they’ve cultivated a thriving operation with leadership that blends time-honored farming know-how with a passion for innovation, ensuring the farm remains a cherished cornerstone of the region. Together, Buddy and Carolyn embody dedication, stewardship, and a warm connection to both the soil and the people they serve.

Errie & Nikki Raasch
Errie Raasch is a fourth-generation farmer. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business Management and a Master of Science degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Errie is the co-owner of three businesses with his brother Bernie Raasch, Raasch Brother’s, Raasch Brother’s Land, and River Valley Irrigation (Reinke Irrigation Pivots). Errie is also the owner of The Liberty Corn Maze, a fall, agritourism business that he runs with his wife, Nikki Raasch.
Errie married Nikki Raasch, of Independence, MO. in July 2008. Nikki Raasch has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education and administration from the University of Central Missouri and a specialist and doctorate degree in educational leadership from Saint Louis University. Together they have five daughters: Kaeli, Adalyn, Genevieve, Remington, and Delilah. They also have a son-in-law, Nick Henry, and a grandson, Owen. They all love to travel and spend time with their family and friends.

Bernie & Melinda Raasch
Bernie is a fourth-generation farmer. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management. Bernie is the co-owner of three businesses Raasch Brother’s, Raasch Brother’s Land, and River Valley Irrigation (Reinke Irrigation Pivots).
Bernie married Melinda Raasch of Festus, Missouri in 2016. Melinda Raasch trains and breeds AQHA quarter horses and enjoys her high-speed, competitive equestrian barrel racing events. They have one daughter Laurel Raasch.

Dane grew up in Central Missouri, going to Jefferson City High School. Out of high school Dane lived a year and a half in Beijing, China helping to build the US Embassy. After that he came back home to help his friends on a sod farm in Jefferson City. In 2015 he and Lillie met walking out of the Mizzou bowl game in Orlando Florida. A year later they were married and now have three beautiful children: Gerard, Mary and Georgia. Dane started farming with the Raasch family soon after he and Lillie were married in 2016. He did have cattle for a while but with he and Lillie’s busy schedule, they decided in 2022 it would be best if they stuck to just row crop farming to leave enough time for their children. Since 2020 he and Charlie have been farming together as business partners and running the entity RF Grain and Cattle. In his down time Dane enjoys grilling with friends and taking family vacations to the beach.
Lillie grew up on the family farm largely helping at the farmers market and Pumpkin Patch. In 2008, after graduating high school, she attended the University of Missouri where she got her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and then attended the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated with her doctorate in 2015. Since then, she worked at a mixed animal practice for two years before purchasing her own clinic in 2018, Animal Clinic of the Woodlands in Gladstone, MO. In 2021 she started NKC Animal Clinic & Daycare in North Kansas City, MO. Along with running her veterinary hospitals, Lillie enjoys helping her mother Carolyn with the Pumpkin Patch in the fall. Lillie and Dane met in 2015, got married in 2016 and now have three beautiful children: Gerard, Mary and Georgia. Dane and Lillie now reside in Smithville and their favorite thing to do is take a family vacation to Turks and Caicos.
Charlie & Anna Raasch
Charlie started his college career at the University of Northern Illinois in 2014 where he played soccer for the university before transferring to the University of Missouri. There he graduated from the Ag school in the spring of 2018 with bachelors in Agricultural Economics. After graduating he started working for Raasch Family farms in the summer of 2018. Himself along with Dane Fitzpatrick started RF Grain and Cattle LLC in 2020 to head their own farming operation.
In January of 2023 Charlie married his wife Anna Raasch, of Blackburn Missouri, and the following January they had their first child. Scottie Raasch was born just after Charlie and Anna celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
Charlie and Anna are expecting their second child in the fall of 2025.

Laurie Atwood - Farm Administrator
Laurie started her college career at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois where she studied music and communications. Laurie comes from a background of owning several businesses from 1998-2007. She was the owner of Sugar Plum Tree, Home Design Outlet, and a Mortgage Company. From 2007 – 2015 Laurie went into Optical Management. Then in 2015 – 2024 she switched to managing an independent family care facility, Barry Pointe Family Care in Liberty, MO.
She now is serving as the Farm Administrator for the Raasch’s. She is overjoyed working in this new field for the Raasch Family!
Laurie is married to Dr. Kevin Atwood and together we have 6 children and 8 grandchildren. She loves to travel and spend time with her friends, family and grandchildren.
