Farming Operations

What We Grow

We focus on growing high-yield, high-quality crops that feed our community and support regional agriculture. Our current operations include:

  • Corn – grown for grain and silage, using precision planting and fertilization methods

  • Soybeans – rotated annually with corn to maintain soil health and productivity

  • Hay & Forage Crops – for our own livestock and local buyers

  • Specialty Crops – [e.g., pumpkins, sweet corn, cover crops, etc.]

How We Farm

We believe in blending traditional values with modern practices:

  • Soil Conservation – including cover crops, no-till/strip-till practices, and regular soil testing

  • Water Management – strategic use of irrigation and rainwater catchment where needed

  • Technology Use – GPS-guided equipment, crop monitoring tools, and yield tracking software

  • Sustainable Practices – we’re committed to reducing input costs, protecting pollinators, and maintaining long-term land health

Our Land & Legacy

Our farm has been family-owned since 1976, and we see ourselves not just as farmers, but as stewards of the land. Whether we’re working the fields, tending livestock, or mentoring the next generation, we do it with pride and purpose.

We lease and manage a combination of owned and rented acreage, working closely with local landowners and conservation programs to make the most of every acre.

Community & Future Goals

  • Supporting local food systems and FFA/4-H youth

  • Exploring regenerative practices and soil carbon programs

  • Expanding our direct-to-consumer sales and agritourism efforts

We welcome conversations with fellow farmers, landowners, and ag partners.
